Invest Explorer ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application and web platform collect, handle, and safeguard your data when you use the Invest Explorer service.

      Core Privacy Guarantee: Invest Explorer is designed on a Privacy-First & On-Device Architecture. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or transmit your personal financial balances, income, expense logs, or net worth details to third-party advertisers or brokers.
    

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Invest Explorer collects minimal information necessary to deliver comprehensive personal financial planning, return calculations, and mutual fund analytics:

On-Device Financial Profiles: Information you enter into the Financial Profile, Monthly Expenses Calculator, Net Worth Balance Sheet, or 1 Crore Goal Planner (such as age, monthly surplus, expense line items, and asset allocations) is processed locally on your device and stored in your device's browser localStorage.
Mutual Fund Search & Watchlists: Selected funds, portfolio allocation weights, and custom SIP goals remain stored on your device.
AI Assistant Chat Queries: If you use the Invest Explorer Assistant, questions are processed by our on-device financial rule engine. If you connect your optional Google Gemini API key, questions are transmitted securely to Google Gemini's API over encrypted HTTPS to generate live financial responses.

2. Third-Party Data Sources and Services

To provide real-time investment data, Invest Explorer connects to the following verified services:

AMFI India (Association of Mutual Funds in India) & mfapi.in: Used to fetch public, standardized Daily Net Asset Values (NAV) for registered Indian mutual fund schemes. No personal information is transmitted to AMFI.
Google Gemini API (Optional): Used solely for users who choose to provide their own Gemini API key for dynamic chatbot responses. No financial account numbers or personally identifiable government records are ever requested or transmitted.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your profile and investment data are stored locally on your device:

You have 100% control over your data.
You can clear your stored data at any time by clearing your browser cache/storage or by using the app settings to reset the profile.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached user profile data permanently.

4. Children's Privacy

Invest Explorer is intended for adults managing personal and family finances. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

5. Security

All network calls made by Invest Explorer (such as AMFI daily NAV synchronization) utilize industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). We do not operate external databases that retain your personal banking credentials or passwords.
